Abstract
WMU English Professor Jaimy Gordon received the 2010 National Book Award for her novel "Lord of Misrule." Western Michigan University celebrated her accomplishments with this reading and reception at the Richmond Center on December 13, 2010 sponsored by the University Center for the Humanities. Part 1 includes: remarks by the Center's Founding Director Katherine Joslin; welcome by WMU President John Dunn; readings and remininscences by WMU English department graduates, Bonnie Jo Campbell, Liesel Letzenburger and Melinda Moustakis; introduction to Jaimy Gordon by Bruce McPherson, publisher and long-time friend. Part 2 features Jaimy Gordon reading from her award-winning book, 'Lord of Misrule'.
