Juris Ķeniņš is a cellist, composer, conductor, music teacher in Toronto, a consultant for the Canadian Music Centre who is organizing the XV Latvian Song and Dance Festival in Canada in 2019. He is also the chair for both the Latvian Federation in Canada Cultural division and the World Federation of Free Latvians Cultural Fund.
Gunta Laukmane graduated from Latvian National Conservatory. She worked for Latvian Philharmonia as a collaborative pianist and soloist until the Soviet Union collapsed, then she worked for National Symphony Orchestra until she immigrated to the U.S.. She has performed with different ensembles, choirs, and soloists in Finland, Germany, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy. Her collaborative pianist duties currently cover all of Michigan, but she is based in Western Michigan University.
