Abstract

The use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) with building's energy is getting widespread since it helps Architect, Engineer, Contractor, (AEC) and owner in achieving the net-zero energy building goals. The present work is using building's energy, site, location, and other information to be integrated with Building Information Model (BIM) and simulate them to generate a decision support system to reduce the building's energy.

The research represents a decision support system for building's energy which uses some of the alternative energy and other methods of saving energy along with the building'S information. The integration between those information and the building's model is very useful for achieving the research's goal. In this research, the concept of Building Information Model (BIM) is applied in order to develop a computer model which helps users select the best energy alternatives to reach net-zero energy building. Also, it provides users with the total amount of consumed and produced energy. BIM in particular is a concept that can improve the design and drawings correlation in 3D Mode, which is automatically coordinated in all views such as plans, sections, and elevations, almost in accurate and precise details.
