Abstract
This study examined the effects of a brief media education intervention on parental limiting of violent video game play. An experimental design was used with pre- and post-test data analyzed from 61 participants who completed three anonymous online surveys. Statistically significant increases and decreases in the amount of time youth spent utilizing media were found within both the experimental and control groups when the data was analyzed by demographics. Future research recommendations are discussed.
