Abstract
This article discusses the Jewish narrative of The Book of Ruth, relating the narrative and its themes of suffering and endurance to the current COVID-19 pandemic. The article argues for humans to be aware of their response to the pandemic, arguing for humanity to fight human injustice, rather than contribute to it. The article features Pricilla Wald, author of the book Contagious and her perspective on plague narratives and their relationship to today’s world.
