Abstract

In an article from Chick Publications, a group who publishes “tracts” based in Evangelical Protestantism, the wearing of masks is compared to accepting the “mark of the beast”, an idea that is discussed in the Book of Revelations and other apocalyptic literature. The article discusses the similarities between compliance with government regulations during COVID-19, complying with Nazis during WWII, and accepting the mark of the beast.
