Abstract
This article discusses the decision made by the State of California to ban chanting and singing in houses of worship. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and their research findings on singing and the spread of COVID-19 are featured in the article. The article details other regulations put in place by the State of California and Governor Gavin Newsom, such as the use of masks and the use of offering plates in houses of worship.
