Abstract
This article details the social welfare efforts of Christian Churches in South Africa to combat starvation and to aid the most vulnerable populations. The article discusses the emergency food program and those most in need of aid. The article features the president of the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference, Bishop Sithembele Sipuka, and the Anglican archbishop of Cape Town, Dr. Thabo Makgoba.
