Abstract
The New York Times article focuses on the Sikh efforts in the United States to provide food for those affected by the pandemic, in addition to those participating in the recent protests. The article discusses the ritual practice of langar in addition to the doctrine of seva. The use of sacred spaces is detailed, particularly the use of the gurdwara as a place to prepare and serve food for those in need.
