Abstract
This article discusses the potential health crisis of Jewish women using mikvahs for ritual cleansing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The article features guidelines regarding the use of mikvahs from the Orthodox Union and Jewish Orthodox Women’s Medical Association. The guidelines are based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines regarding the use of pools and hot tubs. The CDC guidelines are featured in the article.
