German Nuns Describe Search for Sacrament During COVID-19 Beyond “Dependence” on Ordained Men

Abstract
This article details the response from ten nuns from different Catholic religious communities to the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically as regards rituals and practices that normally require men, such as Reconciliation and the Eucharist. The article discusses Catholic doctrine around the Sacrament of Communion, specifically doctrine from the Second Vatican Council. The experience of nuns, particularly experiences with God outside of the Eucharist is discussed in the article. The article includes a link to the original article in German.
