My study abroad experience in the Dominican Republic has had a profound impact on my vision and goals for the future. Through this immersive journey, I gained a deep understanding of the country's history, government system, and socio-economic challenges. These insights have shaped my perspective on global issues and ignited a desire to contribute meaningfully to the world. This realization has greatly influenced my professional goals. I am now committed to pursuing a career in education or social work, with a focus on improving access to quality education in underprivileged communities. I am determined to become an advocate for educational equity, empowering students to break free from the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential. Moreover, immersing myself in the vibrant Dominican culture taught me the value of diversity and intercultural exchange. I developed a profound respect for the richness of different traditions, languages, and perspectives.
