Before visiting the DR, I believed that we were going to be completely different; in culture and food. However, I was surprised to see that we have so many similarities. This study abroad experience is probably one of the most meaningful experiences that I had in my life. This trip has accomplished my goal of wanting to improve my mental health and learn about the Dominican Republic.
