Abstract
Many iatrogenic, or treatment induced disorders found in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit can be prevented, or at least alleviated. It is the intention of this paper to discuss two such problems: iatrogenic hearing loss and iatrogenic voice disorders. These are of special interest to speech language pathologists and audiologists. Information which has led us to believe that these disorders are iatrogenically induced, and factors which increase and decrease the probability of such disorders are discussed.
