Abstract
This article discusses the response of international Buddhist groups and organizations to the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to discussing the historical role Buddhism played in public health, government response, and in disease prevention. The article details the relationship between Buddhist doctrine and health and references Buddhist texts. The article features the Tzu Chi Foundation USA, Soka Gakkai International, and Dhammakaya in Thailand.
