Abstract
This article details the government of Quebec’s decision to provide financial aid of $5.2 million ($3.9 million USD) to religious communities whose employees work as healthcare workers, caregivers, and in infirmaries. The article discusses the deaths of members from the Sisters of Saint Anne and the Ursuline Sisters due to COVID-19, which prompted the government response. The article features Minister Marjaurie Cote-Boileau of the seniors and caregivers ministry, Sister Cecile Dionne of the Canadian Union of the Ursulines Superior General, and Sister Celine Dupuis, the Sisters of Saint Anne Co-Provincial.
