Global Perspectives on Occupational Therapy Practice and Education
This special issue highlights research on global occupational therapy practice and education and its implications for clients across the lifespan. Guest Editors Dr. Amy Wagenfeld and Prof. Suzanne Martin propose that the foundation of occupational therapy is shared throughout the world but is uniquely influenced by cultural and environmental contexts as well as the process or means through which therapeutic services are provided (American Occupational Therapy Association, 2014). The “They Said” article is a compilation of a discussion between a panel of three occupational therapy students from Western Michigan University and three occupational therapists who are graduates of Ulster University Northern Ireland on their views of the application of technology in clinical practice. American Occupational Therapy Association. (2014). Occupational therapy practice framework: Domain and process (3rd ed.) American Journal of Occupational Therapy 68(Suppl. 1).
